Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
Overview
This policy explains what personal information Exposure Tape collects, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you have. It applies to our website and the Exposure Tape platform.
Information we collect
Account information — when you sign up we collect your email and name via our authentication provider (Clerk). Usage information — basic logs and, with your consent, analytics about how the product is used. Communications — if you subscribe to updates or contact support, we keep that correspondence.
How we use it
To provide and secure the service, authenticate you, respond to support requests, send updates you opt into, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information.
Legal bases (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data on the bases of contract (to provide the service you sign up for), legitimate interests (to secure and improve it), consent (analytics, marketing email), and legal obligation.
Data retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with legal obligations. Market and usage data are retained on a rolling basis. You can request deletion at any time.
Your rights
Subject to your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. You can delete your account directly from account settings, or email us to exercise any right.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to run the service (authentication, session) and, only with your consent, analytics cookies. You control non- essential cookies through the consent banner. California residents can also use Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.
Third parties
We share data with processors that help us run the service — including authentication (Clerk), hosting (Vercel, Fly.io), and market-data and AI providers — under agreements that require them to protect it. We do not sell personal information to third parties.
International transfers & children
Data may be processed in countries other than yours under appropriate safeguards. Exposure Tape is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes & contact
We will update this policy as the product evolves and post the new date above. Questions or requests: privacy@exposuretape.com (confirm before launch).
